Kajtuś czarodziej : powieść

Collection Biblioteka Narodowa
Description "Kajtuś Czarodziej" is an adventure-fantasy novel, posing questions about the limits of power. The titular Kaytush (actually called Antek) decides to become a wizard. After many trials, he achieves his ambition and the irresponsible way in which he uses his powers leads to a lot of problems for him and for others. He begins to understand that having magical powers demands responsibility and maturity, while the powers he has gained only appear to give him total control over the world of adults. While writing this novel, Korczak consulted its contents with young readers and at times followed their advice and adjusted the narrative. "Kajtuś Czarodziej" was serialised in „Mały Przegląd” in 1933. In 1934, it was published as a book (dated 1935) – the only edition during the author's lifetime.
