| Description | Janusz Korczak wrote the opening words titled "Zamiast wstępu", thereby stressing the importance of a book authored by children. The lack of a foreword to the extensive introduction was probably the result of Korczak minding the issue of children's rights. He believed we should listen to children when they speak in their own, honest voice. It mattered to him that they should be allowed to speak freely. This opinion was one of the main motives for setting up the children's magazine "Mały Przegląd" two years following this publication. |
