| Collection | Janusz Korczak Association of Canada |
| Description | The article presents volume 15 of Janusz Korczak’s collected works entitled Wartime Writings (1939–1942) (published in 2021). This collection volume is a unique historical publication containing 86 texts written by the famous educator and writer during his stay in a ‘closed district’, also referred to as ‘death territory’ of the Warsaw Ghetto. The book is a dramatic testimony of Korczak’s heroic and determined struggle for the right of a child to live, even in a borderline situation. It is also a memoir of Korczak’s own search for answers to the question about the meaning of the human world during the Holocaust. |
