Description | English translation of a Hebrew autobiography written by the last living orphan raised by Janusz Korczak and Stefania Wilczyńska – Itzchak Belfer (born 1923). This publication is focused on the period he spent living in the Orphanage in the 1930s. The book offers an insight into how the institution functioned and how children were taught and raised within it. This involved a unique approach focused on developing children's artistic abilities, which in the case of Itzchak Belfer focused on his visual arts skills. In addition, the book reveals more about Janusz Korczak and Stefania Wilczyńska. The publication is illustrated with works created by Itzchak Belfer and reproductions of his artworks, along with a small selection of photographs taken from the author's private archive.
