Koszałki opałki : (satyry społeczne)

Collection Biblioteka Narodowa
Description This publication is a collection of more than 30 columns from the satirical magazine called Kolce, in which Korczak published texts as of the year 1896. His columns cover themes relating to culture and society: philanthropy, children's education, women's rights and domestic help. These humorous texts were intended to achieve social progress, and in it Korczak admits to doubting this aim was in any way successful. These columns contain themes which would in time be associated with the work and writing of Korczak: the treatment weaker, poorer and excluded members of society are subjected to. This is most obvious in a text titled "Kelner jest człowiekiem". The book was published twice during the author's lifetime – in 1905 and 1910.
