Janusz Korczak. Scalpture of Janusz Korczak's head

Description Sculpture showing Janusz Korczak's head, crafted by one of the most important Polish artists of the first half of the 20th century – Xawery Dunikowski (1875-1964) who was also a pedagogue. The sculpture was created in 1960, long after Jan Korczak had passed away. It was used as the template for the head of Janusz Korczak included in the monument to Janusz Korczak erected outside the former Orphanage (no. 6 Jaktorowska St., Warszawa) in 1979. Dimensions and weight: height 35 cm; 13 kg;. Bronze casting.
