Description | Sculpture created by the sculptor and artwork restorer Zofia Pociłowska-Kann (1920-2019), who was a member of the Union of Armed Struggle (Związek Walki Zbrojnej), imprisoned in Pawiak and the concentration camp in Ravensbrück, where she was sent – having been condemned to death – for her work in the Polish underground resistance movement. The sculpture presents Janusz Korczak with his hands raised, stood in front of three planks. This sculpture is a fragment of the permanent exhibition of the Pawiak Prison Museum. Dimensions: 190x55x35 cm. Medium: fired terracotta and wood. |
